  • 1. Reminder that field is limited to 200 individuals. Last year, the race fell just short of 200 competitors. Signup early to ensure a spot for your child.
  • 2. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of packet pickup at Runners’ Forum in Carmel the day before the race, July 3, between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. Note that day of race registration (if field is not filled) and packet pick-up opens 7:30 am and closes 8:30 am. We need kids to attend the pre-race meeting at 8:30 and promptly start the race at 9:00 am.
  • 3. Zionsville Aquatic Masters is running a Kids Triathlon Clinic at Zionsville Aquatic Center, Thursday, June 27th, 1 to 3 pm. This is a great opportunity for kids to practice for triathlon. For more information, Click HERE..


Please note:  Changes have been made to the distribution of t-shirts with this years triathlon series.  Each athlete will receive a 2013 KIDS TRI for KIDS t-shirt at the first race they participate in only.  For each subsequent race, a new award will be received as listed above.  Goody bags will be given at each race for every participant!  Thank you in advance for your patience as we get the word out and tweek Get Me Registered to reflect the changes.

REGISTRATION AND FEE:  Pre-registration should be completed through www.getmeregistered.com, or go to the link provided on www.kidstriforkids.com.  The pre-registration fee is $30, and day-of-event registration is $45. Field is limited to 200 individuals. The event may be cancelled, delayed or re-formatted due to dangerous situations such as weather or other unforeseen circumstances; there will be no refunds in such cases.

All participants must be a USAT member to compete. To facilitate registration, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that participants obtain USAT membership at Membership Services site for $15 and is can be used for other season races.  USAT race day memberships will be available on race morning, however paperwork will be required (may be lengthy) and cost $10.

RACE PACKET:   Participants who pre-register can pick up their packets at Runners’ Forum in Carmel the day before the race, July 3, between 4:00 and 6:00 pm.  Alternatively, participants can pick up their packets 7:30 AM on race morning of July 4th.   Packet pick-up will be located in the parking lot next to the registration tent at the east end of the transition area.  Proof of USAT membership must be provided, or new membership paperwork will need to be completed.

PRE-RACE  MEETING:  A mandatory race meeting for all participants and parent/guardians will take place at 8:30 AM in the transition area.  The first wave will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

START:  The first wave will start at 9:00 AM.  Each age-group wave will then start in waves according to the pre-determined time intervals.

RACE DISTANCES:  All distances are approximate. See posted course maps and descriptions at race site on race day for any changes to distances.

7-8 year olds:  100 meter swim, 1.8 mile bike and 0.8 mile run.

9-10 year olds:  100 meter swim, 1.8 mile bike and 0.8 mile run.

11-12 year olds:  200 meter swim, 4.5 mile bike and 1.8 mile run.

13-14 year olds:  200 meter swim, 4.5 mile bike and 1.8 mile run.

PARKING:  Parking will be available on the paved and over-flow grass lots at Azionaqua Club.  Please follow the directions of parking volunteers.

RULES : This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.  Participants must know and follow the rules posted by USA Triathlon.  Visit www.usatriathlon.org for more information.   All participants must wear an approved bike helmet while on the bike.

RESULTS:  Results will be posted on the Kids Tri for Kids website, www.kidstriforkids.com.

PRIZES:  Prizes/medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers for each gender in every age group.  Finisher certificates will be awarded to all participants.

LOCATION:  Azionaqua Swim Club, 4875 Willow Rd, Zionsville, IN, Google Map Directions. Late arriving spectators should note the Willow Road north bound lane will be closed to vehicular traffic prior to race start. Spectators can still get to race site by turning onto Willow Road from US 421 (Michigan Avenue).
