Please note: Changes have been made to the distribution of t-shirts with this years triathlon series. Each athlete will receive a 2014 KIDS TRI for KIDS t-shirt at the first race they participate in only. For each subsequent race, a new award will be received as listed above. REGISTRATION AND FEE: Pre-registration should be completed through www.getmeregistered.com, or go to the link provided on www.kidstriforkids.com. The pre-registration fee is $30, and day-of-event registration is $45. The event may be cancelled, delayed or re-formatted due to dangerous situations such as weather or other unforeseen circumstances; there will be no refunds in such cases.
All participants must be a USAT member to compete. To facilitate registration, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that participants obtain USAT membership at Membership Services site for $15 and is can be used for other season races. USAT race day memberships will be available on race morning, however paperwork will be required (may be lengthy) and cost $10. To register or renew your USAT membership Click Here.

RACE PACKET: Participants who pre-register can pick up their packets at the NCAA Hall of Champions – 700 W Washington Street, IN. Pre-registration packet pick-up will be on August 2nd from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Alternatively, participants can pick up their packets race day morning 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM and 9:30AM -10:30 AM. Packet pick-up will be located next to the registration tent near transition area. ** Proof of USAT membership must be provided, or new membership paperwork will need to be completed.
LOCATION: Celebration Plaza at White River State Park – 801 W. Washington St, Indianapolis
PARKING: Parking is available at the Indianapolis Zoo for a flat rate of $5.00. Parking is also available in the White River State Park underground garage for a flat rate of $6.00. Both parking areas are within a short walking distance to the event site.
CAUTION: The kids’ race will be held in conjunction with the Adult Tri Indy race so please give yourself extra travel time due to road closures and congestion.
TRANSITION AREA: The transition area will be open from 6am until 10:30am.
PRE-RACE MEETING: A mandatory race meeting for all participants and parents/guardians will take place at 10:45 AM in the transition area. The first wave will begin promptly at 11:30 AM.
START: The first wave will start at 11:30 AM. Each age-group wave will then start in waves according to the pre-determined time intervals.
RACE DISTANCES: All distances are approximate. See posted course maps and descriptions at race site on race day for any changes to distances.
7-8 year old: 100 meter swim (Canal Swim), 2.6 mile bike and 0.8 mile run.
9-10 year old: 100 meter swim (Canal Swim), 2.6 mile bike and 0.8 mile run.
11-12 year old: 200 meter swim (Canal Swim), 4 mile bike and 1.6 mile run.
13-14 year old: 200 meter swim (Canal Swim), 4 mile bike and 1.6 mile run.

RULES: This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Participants must know and follow the rules posted by USA Triathlon. Visit http://www.usatriathlon.org for more information. All participants must wear an approved bike helmet while on the bike.
RESULTS: Results will be posted on the Kids Tri for Kids website, http://www.kidstriforkids.com.
PRIZES: Prizes/medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers for each gender in every age group. Finisher certificates will be awarded to all participants.
